Biography

We are a 3-piece, Hobart trio that formed in August of 2004. We were jamming long before August but only really decided to make a band at that point.

We play a reasonable amount of styles, described as emotive rock, punk, emo, and rock/soft rock. (Ok so really we just play rock lol!)

The band since 2004 has played an array of gigs, not only in the local Hobart area, but also in the North of the state. We've played at National Youth Week, supported local rockers, and also been involved in the nationwide Kool Skools project for 2004. Our two originals on the Australian 2004 Kool Schools CD are; Cartoon Heroes (which was shortlisted for the top 10 in the ASA Youth section 2005) and Amethyst Sky.

We have many more originals, and just recently finished recording a full length album (Although it's pretty dodgy quality!). We hope to get a proper polished EP one day *grin*

Anarkasiem won an ‘Honourable mention’, ‘Best Female Performer’ and ‘Best Original’ in the 2005 Tasmusic Rock Challenge Final.
